In a house located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the series centers around the misadventures of an anthropomorphic animal duo, Ratty the mouse and Catty the cat, and their crazy misadventures they have with their human family and Ratty's mouse children. Each episode is narrated by Jeff Geddis, who sings the theme song, with Sonja Ball doing backup vocals. Ratty Catty was also the first show Spectra Animation had produced to share a studio with the Mercury Filmworks animation studio in Ottawa, Ontario, and the first show by Spectra Animation to air in the 1990's. The series also moved to the Qubo Channel in the United States from Mato July 26, 2020.
Both channels are still airing reruns of the series. and aired on TOF Studios and ROBLOX TV Studios in Canada on October 31, 2012. The series also got acquired by ROBLOX TV Studios Inc. Reruns of every episode were aired until September 2017 and briefly returned from Augto December 31, 2021. Reruns of the series continued airing from then, and season five began airing on Treehouse TV in March 2, 2012. On September 6, 2007, the series was removed from the YTV channel, and the show was moved to Treehouse TV on Octofor the remaining part of season four, and the entire fifth and sixth seasons.
